The staff is really nice and friendly, and even though my puppy is a big chicken and hates getting groomed, they are patient and gental with him.
I've taken my Goldendoodle puppy there twice now, the first time he was a matted mess! I was embarressed how bad he was, but they fixed him up beautifully and gently. The 2nd time he wasn't matted so they had a chance to make him look even better, and they did! He looked like a show dog after! And smells beautiful!
Most important to me, they were able to trim all his nails and get his glands expressed. That had been an issue at Petco and I'm glad I've found somewhere that can do it successfully.
I brought Elfie in today for a quick nail trim and anal gland expression.
We have been going here for 5+ years. Best place to take your pets to groom them yourself. Great knowledgeable people and great products. The owner and staff are wonderful. I have recommended to every pet owner I know.
He can be very nervous and as a chihuahua, does not like his nails trimmed. His previous grooming's at Petco have been just fine but I work in the area and decided to try Best Buddy since Petco was unable to complete all of Elfie's toes nor get his glands expressed.
The groomers and all staff truly care for your dog! My dog would always shake with nerves when going to the groomer but not here! The staff love her and she knows it! They not only do a great job bathing and brushing but they are concerned for the overall care for your dog! Our Collie has oily skin which causes hot spots and Best Buddy has the knowledge for the perfect recommendations! You feel like your animal has also been to the vet! I highly recommend them!
Only negative is they are booked pretty far out, so don't wait till the last minute to make an appointment!
The shop was clean and well-organized. They were washing several dogs that showed no stress, and the owners picking up their dogs seemed pleased with the results. I'm pleased with the results of my visit, too.
I made an appointment to take my three cats in to have their claws trimmed. Sheila promptly started with them, and in very quick order, the cats were done. Sheila does an excellent job of shortening their claws, without going too far. She also gave me a quick report on each cat's nails. When we got home, I could tell the improvement as the cats walked about.
We will come back to have his nails trimmed and glands expressed monthly, I'm guessing.
I found the person working there to be very helpful and gentle with Elfie. She knew just how to pick him up. She took him in back and had assistance from someone else to trim his nails. I could hear that he was scared but that isn't abnormal. The entire processes lasted about 15 minutes.
Elfie waited with his tail wagging as I paid.
Their prices are very comparable with Petco, in fact I think they charge the same for a nail trim and anal glad expression.
I love how they don't keep him in a kennel all day till they can get to him, the time of the appointment is the real time they start grooming.
